Paleopunk @ Anna Krava Brevery
Nestled within the "Anna Krava" brewery, this exhibition unveils a captivating fusion of prehistoric cave art and contemporary street graffiti. Initially created during an art residency in Caylus, France, these artworks explore the expressive potential of gestures, remaining in the sketch stage of drawing. The process then continued until the end of 2023 in my home studio.
Dubbed "Paleopunk," this approach melds the primal instincts of paleolithic art with the raw energy of street graffiti. Ambiguity remains a central theme, inviting viewers to unravel layers of meaning within each acrylic painting.
The exhibition serves as a bridge between ancient symbolism and modern expresivity. Inspired by the primal essence of prehistoric cave paintings, yet firmly rooted in the exploratory realms of contemporary expression, each artwork plays with a raw and primal energy.
